GIDP Poster Contest 2006

GIDP Poster Contest
Applied Mathematics

Winner: Julia Arciero
Originally from Livonia, Michigan, I received a BS in mathematics from the University of Michigan in 2003. Currently I am in my fourth year at the University of Arizona pursuing a Ph.D. in applied mathematics. My research interests involve the application of mathematics to problems in physiology. I am working with Dr. Timothy Secomb to develop a theoretical model that describes the role of metabolic responses in blood flow regulation. In my free time I enjoy singing in two different choirs, running, and playing tennis.
